This looks like a super easy project to make.  This seems like it would work for almost any gadget.  I am not sure if this would work by soldering on a wall plug but it may be worth a try.  I would suggest you try it with something other than your iPhone at first though….

This is a super cool video of how to build your own USB charger using a simple 9volt battery that you can get at Wal-Mart.  I am going to be making one of these myself very soon.  This would sure come in handy on the road or on a camping trip.
