I am in the process of finishing a project for my wife, she wants all our photos scanned into iPhoto.  Now this is a huge task, especially when you think about the 12 years worth of pics we have together plus those from before we got married.  Well luckily I had a friend with a super cool scanner I could borrow that saved the day.  Now it was still a job pulling all the pics from the photo albums and i still have to organize them in iPhoto but this scanner made the job super easy.  I did have to use one of their earlier versions but I can only imagine it is better with the new scanners.  Scansnap scanners by Fujitsu are the way to go!  Check out this link to one of their newer models you will be thoroughly impressed with one if you buy it.
