I just recently began using Snatch for my iPhone and MacMini Media Center set up. I did not want to hook up a keyboard by my TV, too much clutter and a wireless keyboard did not have the range I need. I have been using Snatch and been very happy with the results. It was super easy to set up and I have been able to use it with several different computers in my home at the same time. It has made my life much easier and has also saved me some $$$. Instead of over $60 for a mouse and keyboard I spent $4 on this app.

The Pong iPhone case claims to reduce the radiation that enters your body while you use the phone. Now while I am not sure that the phones are doing any harm to us I also kinda thing that why take the chance. I mean look at all the things we used to use that we thought were fine, ex. lead dishes and cups. So if you are super conscious about your health and future health this may be just the thing for you. It retails for around $60 but that will come down I am sure. Thanks to the Christian Science Monitor

This is my Youtube pic for the day, not that new and dramatic but really makes one realize how the internet was not that long ago and where we are today. I can’t even fathom a world of dial up access again. AOL at the time was the up and coming internet provider. Somehow they missed the boat. Kinda shows you that we could all be there again soon if we aren’t careful.

I have been doming more research on LSV’s (Low Speed Vehicles). One very interesting thing I found in my state which may be the case for you in your state as well is the streets that you are allowed to drive on with a LSV which most manufactures say have a max speed of 35 even thought they come preprogramed for 25. I have spoken with several groups and state agencies that say you have a 10 mph cushion for the vehciel. So what does this mean? It means that instead of being limited to streets with posted speed limits of 35 you can now drive on roads with speed limits of up to 45 mph. In most towns and cities across the US most of their posted speed limits are 45 mph or less which means you could make this one of your primary vehicles. Now you need to make sure and check with your local department of transportation and police departments but I have a feeling this may apply for quite a few other cities. Check it out.

I
I have been using the relatively new TomTom GPS for iPhone for the past few weeks and have been pretty happy with it overall but there are a few things that i wanted to mention when you go to compare it to the Google Maps app that comes preloaded on your iPhone.
1. TomTom does not let you search purely by name of your desired location. You can search by topic or type of location but not purely by the name. Google Maps on the other hand lets me search by name of the location and even tries to figure out what I mean if I have a misspelling.
2. Google Maps does not have near as many route options as TomTom does. With TomTom I can decide to avoid toll roads, unpaved roads, Carpool lanes and the like.
3. Google Maps of course does not have the voice option, there is no one there telling you when to turn or which way to veer. This is a super important addition that TomTom has.
4. TomTom has a night option for the screen which is much easier on the eyes as you are trying to navigate the roads in the evenings.
Overall I think the TomTom is a much more useful GPS option but i have found that I still use the Google Maps when I want to find a place and cant remember the town it is in or do not know if there is even such a place in the city I am in. I find Google Maps to be much more current and also helpful in finding a place I need to get to. TomTom however is much better for the turn by turn experience of arriving at my destination. My recommendation would be to continue to use them both as they both have strengths and weaknesses.
