iPod Touch VoIP phone calls made easier?

cult of mac has confirmed that the new iPod Touch is set up to handle a microphone, unlike the 1st gen version. This makes my it a virtual certainty that Apple will soon allow you to use your Touch to make phone calls on WiFi networks. Wow this will be great, you can theoretically just get a Touch instead of an iPhone and make all your calls. Especially here in the good ol US of A’s where there is wifi on almost every corner.
