My pool heater just went out on me this season, now I know this is not a big deal to lost of you but where I live its nice to heat up your hot tub a bit at the start of the season just to deal with those semi cold evenings.  I have been pricing heaters and the best deal I can find is around $700 plus tax for the low end units.  I just ran across this guys site tonight while I was looking for better deals.  Not sure this is the solution for me but you may want to give it a try, especially if you need to save a buck.  DIY Pool Heater
